July 11 • John Avanzini
John Avanzini was born in Paramaribo, Surinam, South America, in 1936. He was raised and educated in Texas, and received his doctorate in philosophy from Baptist Christian University, Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Avanzini now resides with his wife, Pat, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he is the Director of Avanzini Ministries. Dr. Avanzini's television program, Principles of Biblical Economics, is aired five times per day, seven days per week, by more than 550 television stations from coast to coast. He speaks nationally and internationally in conferences and seminars every week, and many of his vibrant teachings are now available in CD and book form.
Dr. Avanzini is an extraordinary teacher of the Word of God, bringing forth many of the present truths that God is using in these days to prepare the body of Christ for His triumphant return.
July 18 • Rod Allison
For over 20 years, Comedian/Trumpeteer Rod Allison (aka Rod of God Comedy) has performed his signature style of clean comedy nationally and internationally…leaving countless audiences filled with laughter.
He’s performed with legendary artists such as Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Bishop Marvin Sapp, Casting Crowns, Tye Tribbett, and numerous others.
Rod is known as the “Attorney by Day & Comedian by Night Entertainer” because believe it or not…this entertainer is also a lawyer! When he’s not performing, Rod can be found providing legal services at his private law practice in North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) as Class Valedictorian and earned his law degree from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law. As a proud graduate, Rod was honored to be appointed to the NCCU Board of Trustees in 2019.
Above everything else, Rod is most proud to live his life as a Christian, husband to his beautiful wife (Kimberly), and father to 2 wonderful children (Christofferson and Kristin). Throughout his comedic career, he has remained committed to his mission of proving: “You can be funny without being vulgar…and a Christian without losing your sense of humor!”
July 25 • Michael Smalley
Michael has enjoyed 24 years of marriage to his wife Amy and has three incredibly cool kids: Cole, Reagan, and David. Helping couples has been his singular passion for over 20 years. Being a part of the team that created and developed the marriage intensive model has been one of the highlights of his professional career. Michael says it's an honor to help couples get unstuck and resolve their biggest conflicts.
